I'm realizing that I'm a fairly terrible mother of a newborn. There have been fairly few pictures of Emily (and Nathan for that matter), so it's time to start rectifying that problem. The seven-week update is that Emily has now slept through the night for more than a week straight, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she's now a night sleeper. She continues to grow, growing right into some 6 month outfits. Where do our tall babies come from? Other than that, we're managing to keep up with the laundry, grocery shopping, and even making dinner semi-regularly. Life around here is really good these days, and Nathan and Emily always make it fun.
I was out of the family room for a little while the other day, and I came back to find that Nathan had made a new little place to sleep. Apparenly, it was fairly comfortable, because he slept there for a good while.
For another recent Family Home Evening, we went to Sonic and got milkshakes. Nathan seems to be determined to need a change of clothes at every FHE.
Emily had been fussing while I was cooking dinner, when she fell suspiciously quiet. Come to find out, she'd found her thumb.

They both are so cute! So glad Emily found her thumb! Maddie keeps herself awake trying to get it. You better keep that car seat around since they both like to sleep in it! :)
Brynn- Your kids are ADORABLE! I found your blog from Carrie's. I'm so happy you are doing so well- and that you have your own car now! Woo hoo for freedom!

I love the picture of her sucking her thumb. It is so adorable. Especially with the binky right next to her. So cute!
