While we were out of town this weekend, our tomato plants decided to be quite productive. I picked tomatoes the day before we left, so I figured that by the time we got home, there shouldn't be that many more ripe. Was I ever wrong.
6 pounds, 3 ounces of tomatoes
This one plants wins the blue ribbon - 2 pounds, 6 ounces of tomatoes.
Now we're trying to think of every recipe we know involving tomatoes. Salsa or spaghetti sauce, anyone?

That is a lot of tomatoes, but at least you don't have to worry about salmonella (spelling?) poisoning. They look delicious, how about sending up a couple to New England because I could definitely eat some.
Man! That's incredible to get so many tomatoes from one plant! Here the tomato plants are more like tomato saplings. All stem and no leaves. (Maybe they're trying to find the sun. . . ) Enjoy the bounty!
